Term interpretation

 

1. Power

The power of motor is determined by speed and torque:

P=T·n/97500(W)

2. Output rating

The output rating is determined by rated speed and rated torque.

Synchronous speed

The synchronous speed is determined by the frequency and the pole number of motor: (as shown in Fig.1

N=120f/P (r/min)

f - supply frequency       p - pole number

●No-load speed

The no-load speed is the rate  of no-load motor (as shown in Fig.2

Rated speed

The rated speed refers to the certain speed of motor under rated output power (as shown in Fig.3).

3.Torque

Starting torque

The starting torque is starting output torque of motor under rated voltage and frequency when it starts(as shown in Fig. 4) . The motor cannot run if the static load is larger than the starting load when it starts.

Maximum torque

Maximum torque refers to the maximum output torque generated by motor under rated voltage and frequency, (as shown in Fig.5).If the load torque is larger than the maximum torque, the motor will be blocked.

Rated load torque

The rated load torque refers to the output torque of motor under rated voltage, frequency and rated rotation speed (Figure 6 shows).

4. Running state

In order to control the temperature rise of motor, the continuous running state and the short-term running state of the system should be determined.

●Continuous running state

The motor is allowed to run continuously under rated voltage and frequency, and the safety and reliability of motor work is ensured.

●Short-term running state

The motor is allowed to run continuously for 30 min under rated voltage and frequency, and the safety and reliability of motor work is ensured.                             
5.Gearbox

●Gearbox

Reduction ratio is the ratio of the shaft rotation speed of gearbox to the shaft rotation speed of motor.

● Transmission efficiency

When the gear box is connected with motor,  the increased efficiency of torque  express in %. Its value is affected by the  bearings and gears as well as the factor of lubrication. Generally after the first level transmission, its efficiency is about 90%, and will further decreases to 81% after the second level trans mission. The greater the speed ratio is, the more its transmission series will be, and the more transmission efficiency will be reduced.

● Maximum allowable torque

The maximum load torque  which the gearbox can bear is affected by the factors ,such as the material of the gears, the material of the bearing, the reduction ratio and so on.

● Allowable suspension load

The type of the gearbox and the distance of  the shaft end suspension affect the maximum  value of the vertical output shaft load which the gearbox can bear. The value is affected by the type of the gearbox and the distance between the gearbox and the shaft end suspension.

● Permissible thrust load

The type of the gearbox affect the maximum thrust load which the gearbox can bear.
